Re: Membership fee refunds for the 2020 season

I hope that you and your families are well and adapting to the COVID-19 challenges that we all are part of.

As you are no doubt aware, the EDFL has advised that there will be no football competition in 2020.  While this is disappointing, it is a decision our Club wholeheartedly supports.

Since the declaration of the Pandemic, the Club Committee put in place a COVID-19 sub-group to help us manage the rapidly changing circumstances.

One of our areas of focus has been to maintain the financial viability of the Club.  This has been achieved thanks to the extraordinary support of our members and our sponsors. While the Club has incurred significant costs already for the season, these have not exceeded our retained equity.  

As a result, we are pleased to offer a 100% refund on membership fees to all members who have paid their 2020 fees.

Many members have indicated a willingness to donate all or part of their membership fee to the Club.  We are very appreciative of any contribution that members may wish to make.  

Donated fees will assist us to cover the costs we have incurred this year and, if that is achieved,  support the development of our Coaches and Team volunteers, anticipated 2021 operating costs and contribute towards required capital works such as the upgrading of Lights at Ormond Park. The form provides the opportunity for you to indicate if you would like to contribute.

The support of all our members, families, sponsors, and supporters over the past months has been sincerely appreciated. I encourage everyone involved in the Club to use the services of our sponsors should they be of relevance to you  and please let them know that you are part of the Moonee Valley Football Club and that their support of us is important and valued. Again, thank you for your support and contribution to the Moonee Valley Football Club.  It is our people who make the Valley an outstanding place, and it has been proven so over the course of this year.  We hope that we will be able to offer some activities once restrictions and circumstances permit. Most importantly, we hope to welcome you back for a bumper season in 2021.
