EDFL 2021 Season Update

September 12, 2021

The EDFL Board has voted to award premierships in all divisions to the ladder leaders in each competition for season 2021.

The decision comes after all metro leagues last week decided to cancel the remainder of the 2021 season.

The EDFL would like to thank all clubs, participants, coaches, volunteers, members, supporters, sponsors and stakeholders who made this year possible.

The League can also confirm that promotion and relegation will still occur in the senior men's competitions based on the final standings when the season was deemed over.

East Keilor will be promoted to Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division and Moonee Valley promoted to Strathmore Community Bank Division One.

While Craigieburn will be relegated to Strathmore Community Bank Division One and Taylors Lakes relegated to Strathmore Community Bank Division Two.

Finally, the board has determined that the salary cap for season 2022 will stand at $100,000 for Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division, $90,000 for Strathmore Community Bank Division One and $70,000 for Strathmore Community Bank Division Two.
